Darwin’s Enchanted Isles, a volcanic archipelago on the equator 600 miles west of the Ecuadorian coast, are one of our planet’s most precious ecosystems, home to an extraordinary profusion of exotic, often endemic flora and fauna.
Family owned and operated since 1990, Ecoventura has 3 expedition vessels, each for a maximum of for 20 passengers. Flagship Origin launched Feb 2016 the newest and most comfortable 10 cabin passenger yacht operating in Galapagos – joining the existing, identical Eric & Letty, superior first-class motor yachts.
Refurbished annually, Eric and Letty each feature ten outside facing cabins (2 can be converted into triples) over 3 decks with teak interiors. Extremely comfortable and spacious with the highest environmental and social sustainability standards (Ecoventura has maintained the SmartVoyager certification since 2000 and established the Galapagos Marine Biodiversity Fund in partnership with WWF), 2 expert guides / boat (max 20 guests) ensure a highly personalised experience, and the crew strive for the very best levels of service and cuisine. Menus are gourmet-style and produce is locally sourced. Adventure gear is provided (at no charge) and includes kayaks, wet suits, masks, fins, snorkels and beach towels.
2 unique and comprehensive 7 night itineraries depart San Cristobal on Sundays and include the most important islands and wildlife in the archipelago. Ecoventura offer regular and very popular family departures during school holidays, with age-appropriate activities for children and teens aged 7-17 (with discounted fares). The family owned company has been in business since 1990 and also owns and operates the M/Y Galapagos Sky, a dedicated dive vessel.
The 142 foot Origin www.origingalapagos.com features ten deluxe staterooms all on the main deck with panoramic windows for ocean views. Expansive indoor and outdoor social and observation areas allow for easy and comfortable viewing of the islands’ unique scenery and topography. On board enjoy locally inspired gourmet menus, open bar policy, a sun deck with Jacuzzi, wet bar and day beds and a fitness centre. Modern sophistication with understated luxury await with a crew of 13 including high-level Captain, two naturalist guides and a concierge to attend your every need. The ORIGIN is ideal for family travel, offering connecting cabins and triple accommodation.
ORIGIN also features indoor and al-fresco dining, BBQ, spacious social areas, satellite TV, masseuse (additional charge), multiple kayaks and stand up paddle boards, wet suits and snorkelling equipment, cabins cleaned twice daily, wifi and a laundry service.
