Part 1: Antarctica – Nov / Dec 2006 Albatrosses, Skuas, Petrels, Sheathbills, Shags, Orcas, Humpback and Minke whales, Elephant and Crabeater seals, and at Deception a lone Leopard seal. Tabular, towering icebergs and countless types of ice and snow. The penguins as expected were the stars - Magellanic (leaving Ushuaia), then Gentoo, Chinstrap, Adelie and even 3 Emperors, far from their usual waters! Such an honour to visit this utterly unique, breathtaking place.
