We have a new reception manager, so that there is always someone present at a managerial level who speaks perfect English.

The pool deck & new loungers help to make our sea view even more stunning, and for a relaxing atmosphere in our gardens. The pool area is great for lunch or sunset drinks.

New activities! Surf classes and holidays, and fishing.

Bird watching now available. A great number of birds, many of them endemic, are to be seen in the Atlantic rainforest that borders Picinguaba (Unesco Natural Word Heritage).

Rainforest Expeditions, Peru (www.perunature.com / www.senderos.co.uk/partners_rainforest.htm)

RFE hosts 12th Annual Guide Course – we’ve been training guides from tourism schools, biology faculties and local communities for the past twelve years. A 3-week workshop gathers students and guides, running them through a range of wildlife identification workshops, ecology and local context lectures, and nature interpretation techniques. This year we received students from the Panamian Embara community, Smithsonian's Barro Colorado Island and a Sri Lankan committee who wants to replicate our course across the Pacific.

Parrot Clay Lick Monitoring has begun at Posada and Refugio Amazonas. After eight years of studying macaws at TRC, we finally found someone interested in studying them at Posada and Refugio. Allan Lee has been monitoring macaws and parrots on clay licks and trails around these lodges. Thanks to his teams’ work, we have begun to visit the Posada clay lick right after lunch, a great time for Red and Green Macaws.

Refugio Amazonas’ dining room is completed, as are two wings of eight rooms, the kitchen, guide room, bar, lounge and lobby. The first plank of the third wing of eight rooms is already laid, and ETA for the tower is late April - early May.

Konchukos Tambo is operational. We’re building a pizza oven, and a children’s playground and barbecue area. When the last of the beautiful stone handicraft lamps produced in the neighbouring towns of Carhuayoc and Chavín arrive, KT will be finished. Now accepting bookings to this beautiful rural mountain setting, 10 minutes from Chavín ruins in the Huaraz area.

Casa Andina Private Collection Suasi Island and Sacred Valley, Peru (www.casa-andina.com, www.senderos.co.uk/partners_andina.htm)

Casa Andina Private Collection Sacred Valley is located at the heart of the Sacred Valley, just 10 kms from Ollantaytambo. Close to the most important archaeological sites of the region (Pisac, Chincheros, Moray, Maras), it enjoys the Valley's wonderful climate and is one of the most complete options in the area, in services and facilities.

Surrounded by gardens there are 85 guest rooms, the area’s best cuisine, excursions, an Andean spa (from April 06), planetarium and observatory (from June 06).

Ecoventura, Galapagos Islands (www.ecoventura.com / www.senderos.co.uk/partners_ecoventura.htm)

“The Eric was a fantastic boat, both in design and the professionalism of the crew. I was impressed with the dedication of the staff. The public spaces were comfortable and well designed. It was a pleasure to relax on the well-appointed sundeck.”

“The crew was highly professional and very passionate about their work. Both guides were outstanding - knowledgeable and comprehensive. In particular, Harry's passion and energy were simply remarkable. It was also a very well organized itinerary. I couldn't imagine visiting the Galapagos again in the future without seeing the "outer" islands again. I was impressed by how much ground we were able to cover in a short-time.
Gary S, Dec 05

Space this year on our boats is at a real premium as you'll know from the information that Doris at Galapagos Network regularly sends out. For the latest availability please contact doris@ / irma@ or paulinac@galapagosnetwork.com
