Simon Heyes, Founding Director

Simon fell head over heels for Latin America back in the early 90’s, when he spent two very happy years working as a guide in the Venezuela Andes and Chilean Lake District, and travelling  widely in the continent. On his return to the UK Simon’s passion for the region was reflected in all his best life choices, and he’s been an advocate for its proud, generous people, incredible landscapes and languages ever since: at first working for leading UK tour operators and then in 2004 starting Senderos. How can you love all this and not want to preserve, conserve and regenerate? Tourism uniquely can do this  – Conservation, Community, Culture and sustainable Commerce.

Simon’s Brazilian hideaway Casa Cairucu is also available rent
